【 エポキシポリマー反応機構 】

エポキシポリマー（主剤）

熱硬化性樹脂の一つに「エポキシ樹脂」があります。

「エポキシ基」を、一つの分子中に2個以上持ち、三次元構造をしている物質を総称して、エポキシ樹脂と言います。

代表的なものはビスフェノールAエポキシ樹脂です。

エポキシ樹脂は、エポキシポリマーにアミン類などが混ざり反応することで網目状の架橋構造を作り、硬化する仕組みです。

この、エポキシポリマーを「主剤」と呼び、アミン類などの添加物を「硬化剤」と呼びます。

実際に使う直前に主剤と硬化剤を混ぜる「2液型」タイプと、

あらかじめ主剤と硬化剤が混ざっていて、加熱して固める「1液型」があります。

特徴

エポキシ樹脂は優れた特徴が多く、現代の産業には欠かすことのできない材料です。

例えば、塗料業界ではコーティング剤や建築用防食塗料、飲料水用缶の内面塗装などに使われる他、

高性能接着剤、各種電子部品の絶縁材、スポーツ用品用複合材料として使用されています。

また、エポキシ樹脂で成形された板は、ガラスのような光沢感を出すことができるため、優れた機能性とデザイン性を実現できる素材として重宝されています。

エポキシ樹脂の除去

エポキシ樹脂は、その優れた耐久性能のため、一度硬化し架橋構造を作ってしまうと、除去するのは非常に手間がかかってしまいます。
